MapleMCP connects an authorized MCP-compatible AI assistant to devices you explicitly enroll. The useful part is not the protocol itself: it is being able to ask for work on the right computer from the chat you are already using.

Authorize one MapleMCP MCP connection, then select among the devices available to that account instead of maintaining a separate integration for every machine.

Use structured file, search, process, terminal, and diagnostic tools under the Windows user's permissions.

Start with device/app actions, then opt into notifications or visible UI control by separately granting Android permissions.

The common MapleMCP model
The device is associated with the signed-in MapleMCP account only after its enrollment flow is approved.
Desktop endpoints expose independent capability groups such as Files, Search, Processes/terminal, and Diagnostics. Android adds operating-system permission layers for notifications and Advanced Control.
The AI can list the devices available to the authorized account and target the system needed for the task.
MapleMCP does not turn a normal user into an administrator and does not bypass Android lock-screen security.
Common questions
Is MapleMCP a remote desktop application?
Not in the traditional screen-streaming sense. Its core desktop interface exposes structured MCP tools for files, search, terminal sessions, processes, and diagnostics. Android Advanced Control can additionally inspect and interact with the visible mobile UI when enabled.
Do all devices get the same permissions?
No. Capability groups are chosen per enrolled device, and the operating system still limits what the installed agent can do.
Is MapleMCP only for technical users?
The underlying controls are technical, but the interaction can be ordinary language in an AI chat. The early beta is currently most useful to developers, homelab users, support technicians, and people comfortable reviewing consequential computer actions.
